It’s almost time…
T minus 30 days and counting, folks, and the 2010 ABRA racing season will be under way with the Morgantown Road Race presented by Pathfinder. The roads look to have survived the last few months of record snow, ice and cold. However a few extra potholes and cinders will be in this year’s course, so think about leaving the Zipps at home. Registration is now almost halfway full for the Men’s Cat 5 and Cat 4/5 fields, so do not delay in registering or you may miss your chance to race. The prize payouts have been announced for the race and will consist of the following:
Also, volunteers are still needed as corner marshals and as drivers of support vehicles for this year’s event. If you are not planning on racing or will be bringing someone who will not be racing, please help us put on a successful event by volunteering!

ABRA Road Series Prizes Updated!
Each class winner from the 2010 Road series will receive a Series Championship Jersey! Along with the jersey each class winner will be awarded a series prize package that will include items that have a retail value of more than $500.00. The winners are not the only folks who get some goodies! Series awards will be going five deep in every class with great prizes to be given out. Thanks to our series sponsors for making this possible!

Name Change for IUP Road Race!
Steve Cummings, race director of APRRS #3 has updated the name for his event to “The Crimson Classic”. The event will take place on May 16, 2010 in Indiana, PA. More details are to come from the RD.

ABRA Joins Forces With PCA!
Thanks to the hard work of Pennsylvania Cycling Association President David Mitchell, ABRA is now a part of the PCA. This will help both our organizations make racing better for you! We are really excited about the prospects of working together.

ABRA’s Contest #4 Winner…
Thanks to everyone who participated in last month’s photo scavenger hunt. We received tons of great photos and we laughed for hours. However the first person to send in their completed list of requirements was Rick Plowman (Pro Graphics Cycling Team) of West Mifflin, PA. Contest #5 Is All Crossed Up…
Thanks to Gina Desmond who created a cycling specific crossword puzzle for this month’s contest after getting the idea from watching the movie “All About Steve.” The winner of this contest will be the first person to submit their answers correctly. Crosswords submitted with incorrect answers will be returned with mistakes highlighted. You CAN then change your answers and resubmit your complete list of answers.
